Prairie Moon Mounted Archers Shoot The Moon Competition

Courses offered will be Korean 235, Hungarian 99, Arrowhead Acres Hunt Course and Archery Horsemanship Field Test.  This will be a National Ranking event.  For more information contact Lisa Badger at lisamariebadger@gmail.com.

The Archery Horsemanship Field Test is a specialty course. It is a field course of several 3D wildlife targets. The course includes target points, as well as scored horsemanship elements by a professional horsemanship judge. Including mounting, use of the bow/arrow stand, simple figure 8 at trot, stop/stand/stay/shoot. Includes overall marks for obedience, rein-less riding, maneuverability, pair harmony. This course is designed to reward the overall training of an archery horse. Special Awards for this competition that also figures in to overall.

The rustic venue is beautiful, peaceful, with open field and wooded trails for our cross country hunt course. This equestrian facility is designed for the horse archer. Great camping will be available, comfortable cabins and shower facilities, a shady campfire area, horse pens, arenas, and yes,, the courses! Korean, Hun, Field, and Forest!
